In today’s world, rounding out your therapy with independent research and reading is easy. The following are links to blogs and sites of theorists whose work I like to follow and which inform my own therapy practice.

The Gottman Relationship Blog — The Gottman Institute is dedicated to combining wisdom from research and practice to support and strengthen marriages, families, and relationships.

Dr. Dan Siegel — Dr. Siegel is currently clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine where he is on the faculty of the Center for Culture, Brain, and Development and the founding co-director of the Mindful Awareness Research Center.

Brene Brown — Brené Brown, Ph.D., LMSW is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past decade studying vulnerability, courage, worthiness, and shame.

Pia Mellody — Pia Mellody, Senior Clinical Advisor for The Meadows and Clinical Consultant for Mellody House and Dakota, is known and respected as a preeminent authority, lecturer and educator in the fields of addictions and relationships.

Dr. Sue Johnson — Dr. Sue Johnson is an author, clinical psychologist, researcher, professor, popular presenter and speaker and a leading innovator in the field of couple therapy.
